September 4 – 7 -ALBERNI DISTRICT FALL FAIR at Fall Fair Grounds (4090 Hollywood St.). Midway, live music, parade on Saturday, Sept. 6, animal displays, logger sports and more. FMI: www.albernifair.com.

August 29 – September 1 – PORT ALBERNI SALMON FESTIVAL Music, vendors, biggest fish on display, weigh station, all day at Tyee Landing (3300 Harbour Rd.). Winners announced after 3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 1.

Sunday July 20 – SUNSET CINEMA returns to Bob Dailey Stadium, 9 p.m. Kids’ activities and concession before the movie begins.

Saturday July 19 – ROTARY COLOUR FEST returns for second year at Blair Park from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Register online at www.rotarycolourfest.com. $20 individuals, $45 families.
