ORANGE SHIRT DAY Monday September 30 walk starts at ADSS at 10 a.m. and finishes at Maht Mahs, with lunch and activities to follow. A shuttle will be available to return walkers to their cars.

ALBERNI VALLEY RIVERS DAY Sunday September 22 at Beaver Creek Community Hall and Sproat Lake Provincial Park. 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Free, family-friendly event to learn more about our salmon run, watershed, wildlife, environment and more.

THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE Saturday September 21. Donation bags will be delivered to city residences a few days in advance. All donations go to our local food bank. Want to help or volunteer? Call Bruce at 250-720-5155.

ALBERNI CLASSICAL CONCERTS series subscriptions now available for all 4 concerts this season from Colleen Goodrich at 250-723-5407 or in person at the Arrowsmith Baptist Church on Sept 19 from 7 – 8pm. www.classicalconcerts.ca
