CAR CLUB meets on the first Thursday of each month upstairs at the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 293 (Victoria Quay) at 7 p.m. New members welcome. No need to have a car — just an interest in vehicles.

Friday March 6 Irish-born Mary Murphy will be performing alongside guitarist Paul Keim for an evening of Irish song and frivolity. Get into the St. Patrick’s Day spirit with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and concert beginning 7:30 p.m. Tickets bought in advance include a mid-show prize draw. Tix: $20.
