September 29, October 1 & 2 – LEARN TO CURL at the Alberni Valley Curling Club. Folks who are new to the sport or want to brush up on their skills can head to the curling club at 7 p.m., it runs until 8 p.m. The cost is $50. To register, people can visit albernicurling.com. Sunday September 28 – ALBERNI VALLEY RIVERS DAY from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Beaver Creek Community Hall and Stamp Falls Provincial Park. A family event where folks can learn about salmon, wildlife, local watersheds and more.
